Have you ever wondered what it would be like to not have to lace up a pair of athletic shoes? What would it be like if you could simply step into your shoes and they could lace themselves? It sounds like a pretty futuristic idea, but Nike has been working hard to unveil a sneaker that provides this exact function. In a recent Nike Innovation Conference, Nike unveiled the “HyperAdapt 1.0.” Let’s learn more about this shoe:

The HyperAdapt 1.0

Hailed on the Nike website as “the future of footwear,” this shoe uses innovative adaptive lace technology to tie your shoes for you. Not only are the shoes tied for you, but the fit is customized so to make your shoes feel as comfortable as possible.

How Does It Work?

When you step into the shoe, your heel touches a sensor that activates the shoelace tying function, and your shoelaces automatically begin to tighten. On the side of the shoe, you can loosen or tighten the sneaker to your preference by pressing a button.

Where Will This Be Available?

Although the HyperAdapt 1.0 shoes will be available to the public, only people who have bought the Nike+ could be eligible for purchase. Once you have the app, you have to be selected for the purchase process and you can pick up the shoes in stores in major cities in the US.

What About The Rest Of Us?

Only a limited amount of people will have access to these amazing self-lacing shoes. If you cannot purchase a pair of HyperAdapt1.0, then you can still come to Lace Kings for your favorite sports shoelaces. Your athletic shoes and other laceup shoes still require laces, which Lace Kings is happy to provide. Shop Lace Kings today for colored shoelaces and other fun shoelaces today.
